A prominent and outspoken UFC fighter says actress Megan Fox once slid into his DMs with a friendly message.
UFC welterweight Colby Covington is known for his trash talking and lack of filter. In the past, Covington has referred to himself as the “super villain” of UFC, so you know he doesn’t care about offending anyone with his personal insults or political takes.
Apparently, Covington’s brashness earned him the admiration of Fox, who has regularly appeared on outlets’ most beautiful lists throughout her tenure as an actress and model.
During a recent stream hosted by Kick streamer N3on, Covington revealed for the first time that Fox allegedly DM’d him to express her appreciation.
“My whole life, the baddest bitch, I always thought it was Megan Fox. That was the girl,” Covington said. “After one of my fights, she messaged me, dude. She was just like, ‘Colby, you’re my favorite UFC bad guy.’ I went from f—–g idolizing her, thinking she’s beautiful, she’s in my DMs first.”
N3on then asked Covington if he could read the message live, and the 37-year-old compeтιтor agreed.
“Rooting for you tonight. You are my favorite UFC bad guy since Chael [Sonnen],” the message reportedly said.
“It’s probably hard to keep that character all the time when you are naturally a more sensitive, sweet person. It’s worth it. You are so funny and talented. You deserve to be a superstar.”
ᴀssuming this is true, what an ego boost this had to be for Covington. Sure, the No. 9-ranked welterweight in the world has lost three of his last four fights and hasn’t won since March 2023, but Covington has to feel like he could take on the world whenever he thinks about that message.
As far as his actual fights go, Covington last entered the octagon back in December, where he lost to Joaquin Buckley by TKO in Tampa. Covington also lost a unanimous decision to Leon Edwards in December 2023 and last won back at UFC 272 against Jorge Masvidal.
For his fighting career, Covington is 17-5 overall.
